The most important thing needed in sand blasting is an air compressor, blasting tank, nozzles, hoods, and operating gear. Once you have this equipment, you also need to remember that the air pressure required by the compressor to the blasting tank should be about 40-100lbs. per square inch. Also the tank requires abrasive material so as to have the combination of this material air get forced into blasting hose and nozzles too. Sand was commonly used before in the sandblasting processes the main abrasive material. However, due to the health risks it posed to the lungs, other material has been used as abrasive substances.
